This unit is called Flatlet because it is part of the old original house under one roof but not sharing living space. A little quirky design due to building restrictions but not in the way.
Décor and furnishings are where old meets new, craftily mixed modern and aged pieces, handmade and bought. Décor style is simplistic and functional. House is designed with high humidity in mind. Very relaxed with nature surroundings. All opening windows and doors to the outside have insect netting protection. Wooden frames and louvre window types. Due to building law restrictions, bedroom windows open into the kitchen.
Lots of windows allow for a light and white inside with a scattered view of the garden and swimming pool. Open area living style, with lounge and dining areas combined. 2 Single beds, stacked used as a couch. The bedroom and lounge have a ceiling fan each. The dining table and chairs and the fridge is part of the open area.
The kitchen area is dedicated and compact and very well equipped for self-catering.
The small bathroom is through the kitchen with a closing door to the basin and another door to the shower.
The large bedroom has closing doors to the lounge. Spacious unit for 2 persons.
The entrance has 6 steps to an only door. The communal path to the swimming pool and big garden to the lake area goes past the door. As the flatlet is elevated, no viewing inside. Opposite the entrance is an own braai facility and plastic garden furniture. Also a reserved clothesline area.
